Q. Why did you opt for plant-based products?
A. Kristi & Lindsay: As more information comes out about how harmful chemicals have seeped into our everyday lives, and the impact they have on our health, we try to make better choices for our homes and families one baby step at a time—whether it’s organic food, clean beauty, or organic sheets. Cleaning products just came next in line. Reading the back of the label became even more important once little feet, knees, or four-legged fur babies were crawling on our floors. We aren’t perfect, but we are more aware and informed. We are fortunate to live in today’s world where highly effective, safer choices are available across all categories!
Q: What’s your favorite product?
A: Kristi: This is like asking us who our favorite child is! But if I had to choose, it would be the Multipurpose Cleaner. We are constantly discovering different uses for this magical product—including all sealed surfaces but also glass, mirrors, upholstery, and car interiors. And the newest one we discovered is that it makes an incredible pre-treatment for acidic-based stains on clothes, sheets, and towels. My kids spill spaghetti sauce on their clothes every time they eat and I just spray them down with the Multipurpose Cleaner as they are clearing their plates!
A. Lindsay: Do I really have to choose one? Before we released Laundry Detergent, Dish Soap was my number one—it just makes me smile when doing the dishes. Now that we have released our Laundry Detergent, I can’t imagine my life without it. My clothes, towels, and sheets have never felt or smelled better. The best part about the laundry detergent is its ability to lift stains. I had a white shirt that I accidentally got a tough, dark stain on, and before I threw it out because I thought it was ruined, I put some laundry detergent on the stains, and ran the shirt under water while rubbing out the stain and it all came out, right then. From then on out, it became my favorite.

A: Kristi & Lindsay:
1. Think of alternative ways to use your cleaning products.
Dish soap, for example, is not just for dishes. There are many alternative ways to use it, like jewelry cleaning (toothbrush and dish soap will make those sparklers shine), washing the car (add a couple tablespoons to a bucket of water and wash away), and stain remover on clothes (gently rub onto oil-based stains and let it sit overnight).
2. Get a good steam cleaner.
Steam cleaners are not just for removing dirt; they also tackle stubborn stains and grease with ease, making them versatile tools for household cleaning tasks. Serving as a natural disinfectant and sterilizer, they are effective for sanitizing while cleaning. We love using steam cleaners for mopping our floors, cleaning up grout, getting grease off of the stove, cleaning out the fridge, and cleaning mattresses among so many other items!
3. Choose cleaning products that make you feel good while doing your daily home rituals.
We never imagined how a good dish soap that smelled great and actually worked could put a smile on our faces after cleaning up from a late-night dinner. Or watching your two year old spraying a surface to wipe down the counters, and not worrying about it being harmful to them. Whether it is from the scent of the product, the packaging that elevates your counters, or the way it actually cleans something you did not think it could accomplish, find products that bring you joy.
Q: What’s a common mistake people make when cleaning/doing laundry?
A: Kristi & Lindsay: One common mistake is the mindset that you need specific products for specific surfaces or items. Think a separate cleaner for your car, outdoor BBQ, specific stain removers, specific detergents for specific items, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, floor cleaner, etc. This adds up economically and takes up precious space in your home! Investing in a few high-quality, high-performing plant-based products that can do multiple jobs is worth it. Most laundry stains can be treated with just a little high-quality laundry detergent placed directly on the stain and worked in!
